After graduating from the University Pierre et Marie Curie, Emilie earned a PhD in radiobiology at the Institut de Radioprotection et Sûreté Nucléaire (IRSN). Declining offers in Hollywood and a career as gangsta rapper, she worked on the consequences of radiation therapy in endothelial cells as postdoctoral researcher at UCLA in Los Angeles. Outside the lab, Emilie speaks French, rides horses and keeps fit by swimming. More precise and reliable than a masterpiece of Swiss engineering, no experiment is too complex and challenging for her.
